January 25th: Patetown, Belfast, and Pikeville Fire Departments dispatched to an unknown type fire. Patetown Car 1 (Chief) arrived on scene followed by Patetown Engine 1 to find a large older building fully engulfed with fire exposure on a diesel fuel, a gas fuel tank as well as an old house used as a storage building. Units quickly went to work to protect the house and the fuel tanks. Efforts became problematic due to the fire being down a long path and having the extended rain over the past 24 hours. Saulston Fire Department was special called for Tanker Support as 1300 feet of 5 inch had to be layed. Fire extended to the older house but was quickly extended with minor damage. Units controlled the fire and began mop up operations which were extended due to the large amount of storage items in and around building including several bails of hay. Units cleared several hours later after extensive overhaul operations and clean up.
